First Family Vacation Booked

I’m so excited to be writing this post, Blake, Brody, and I booked our first family vacation. In special news, we paid for the vacation with the money from my first closing, so this is a double win for me. We are going to Panama City Beach, Florida and we absolutely cannot wait. Brody has been asking to go to the beach for a couple years now. The last time I took Brody to the beach he was 2 months away from his 3rd birthday. This family vacation will be much more memorable for him.

 

Road Tripping with The Family

We are going to leave a day early since we are driving with a 5 year old, we know he’s not going to be happy about driving 12 hours one way. So we are going to take the scenic route and stop a few places along the way like New Orleans, Biloxi, Mobile, and anywhere else that grabs our eyes. You know I’m a foodie so I want to try out some cool places maybe check out some places featured on Diner’s Drive-In’s, and Dive’s or the Best Thing I’ve ate. Stay tuned I will definitely review what we try and do! 

 

Destin, FL

We are planning to spend one day at the beach in Destin, because we’ve heard that the beaches in Destin, FL are the absolute best along the Emerald Coast, but let’s be honest Panama City Beach, FL is much cheaper and it’s less than an hour drive away. 

Boats and Open Sea

I would love to rent a boat and hang out on the water one day. I have found a couple of different options, but one place rents double decker pontoons with slides, this will surely keep B entertained all day long. I figure we can pack an ice chest and have a picnic lunch at sea. I’m so excited to just enjoy the day swimming, sunbathing, taking in the views, and playing in the water.

 

What to wear?

I always hear about people preparing their bodies for the beach, but is any body ever really ready? I doubt it, but you know what, I have been working my butt off at the gym and I’m going to proudly flaunt this body. I’m not perfect, but I am damn proud of how far I’ve come! That being said, is bathing suit shopping ever really fun? I mean who decided to put fluorescent lights in dressing rooms? I don’t know what they were thinking, I’m just saying if they put some mood lighting in dressing rooms, I think sells would be through the roof! I have been looking at swim suit covers ups since we are going to be at the beach I’m sure that’s what I’ll be wearing 90% of the time. I have found a couple of cute cover ups on Amazon, just trying to narrow down which one to get. Which one do you like?
