Life, Real Estate, & The Struggle of Easter Candy 😬
Real Estate
I skipped my normal post last week, and opted to recycle my Taco Tuesday Easy Crock-pot Carnitas recipe. I have been extremely busy the last few weeks navigating my Real Estate business. I want to start off saying God has blessed me, I went from having one client to 4 clients, 2 sellers and 2 buyers in a two week period, I’m extremely thankful. I’m so excited to actually be working, I’m finally doing something that I love, so even though at the end of the day I’m dog tired, it’s worth it.
I have been trying to grow my database to 200 contacts, I’m a little over halfway there, this has been harder than I thought it would be. I’m so very thankful to those who have shared their contact info with me. A few weeks ago I bought a tripod, I’m usually out and about alone and can’t seem to get a perfect picture, unless it’s a selfie… I got that one down pat! 🤣 I sent out an Easter e-card of Blake, Brody, and I to everyone in my database, and to say the least we had a little too much fun trying to take the perfect picture for our card. Needless to say we put this tripod to good use, we actually had it fully extended and placed on a folding table in our front yard. I’m sure our neighbors think we are lunatics, well… maybe we are, 🤔but oh well. 🤷🏻♀️🤣 We finally got the perfect picture, but my favorite pictures are the ones that we captured trying to get the perfect picture.
The Struggle of Easter Candy
On to Easter, we have candy coming from literally everywhere, the Easter Bunny, my grandparents egg hunt, the church egg hunt, school, etc.. and let me tell you the struggle is real! Everyone knows I love sweets, so I have had my share, plus about 5 other peoples share of candy this past week. 😅 B got so much candy, I made mini m&m and white chocolate chip cookie bars out of it. I know I can’t be alone in this struggle.. or at least I hope not, this is why I do not keep junk in the house, because I know me and I will eat it.
Life
I’m going to be strict on no sweets for the next month, so if you see me snap chatting or Instagramming any baked goods, call a girl out, I need to stay accountable.
Now let’s talk about the scale, I have been plateaued at my weight I’m currently at since my last life update & weigh-in post. My body has been changing, I can tell in how I look and how my clothes fit. The scale shows I’m gaining muscle, but I haven’t been losing weight. So I’m going to be strict and stick to natural sweets (fruit, honey, etc.) instead of processed sweets (cupcakes, ice cream, and all the other yummy bad for you desserts) to see if I start seeing the results I want.
I’m more excited about the physical changes I have been seeing, over the number on the scale. At the end of the day, it’s how you look and feel, not a magic number. My goal is still to get down to 160lbs, but all I know, is right now, I’ve never looked better! I can see the muscle growth and definition in my legs and arms, and nothing beats the feeling of being stronger each day!
